After working in a fast paced, high volume warehouse for the past 15 years, Marc was looking for a change. A change to a field that he was passionate about, and one he could interact with people and help others accomplish their goals. His search leads him to friend and fellow runner Dan Wilson, who was in the process of planning and developing Endurance House Jacksonville. Over the past 3 years Marc has competed in 10 marathons, along with other Endurance distances of 55K, 48.6 & 50 milers. Marc’s success in those Ultra distances now draws his interest to see not, “How Fast?” but “How Far?” he can run. Marc is excited to be part of the Endurance House team, and looks forward to helping athletes in the Jacksonville area Redefine Your Possible!
What is your home town?
I was born and raised in Williamsport PA “Home Of Little League Baseball”. Each year Williamsport opens its doors to the world as 16 International Teams and fans from all over the globe descend upon the Small Central Pennsylvania town to participate in The Little League World Series. After enduring 25 years of North Eastern winters, I decided to migrate south to warmer Climates of Atlanta and finally settling our family down under the warm Florida sun of Jacksonville.
I have been running for 24 years, but really started to become addicted to the sport in 2012 when I decided to participate in my first marathon. Since 2012 running has become a passion and way of life, allowing me to let go and free my mind.
“Embrace The Pain”. Saying this with fingers crossed. I have been lucky enough to live a very healthy life. I have seen family and friends endure sickness and pain to point’s way beyond anything I could possibly experience during a race. So every run that hurts, I take the mindset that it could be worse and just try to push through.
Capricorn-Determination, Dominance, Persevering, Practical, Willful. Yes I just Googled it. I have never been one to follow Zodiac signs.
To be honest, as much as people hate it, I would say the Treadmill. For some reason I enjoy hoping on the Belt cranking up the speed and music and just grinding it out for an hour or so.
It would have to be black. Always been a fan Of Star Wars and the “Dark Side of the Empire”.
I don’t really have one, but the closest would probably be “Forest”. I can guarantee I usually hear “Run Forest” a couple of times a week from cars passing by on my runs.
I can never get enough Pasta. I usually carbo load heavy a few days up to the race, and on race morning it’s usually just a simple Bagel with peanut butter.
Trigger Point. Whether it is a tough training session or running a race that tears up your body. There is no better feeling than the many options that Trigger Point has to offer.
The Walt Disney World Marathon, which I run every year. Our family has always been lifelong Disney fans, so to be able to combine my interests of Running and Disney is almost too perfect. This race is a challenge to me, trying to balance Family Park hopping and Race concentration throughout the entire weekend.
